Pork Chops Baked

Priscilla's Juicy Baked Pork Chops (Bone-In)

Trial and error, I have always liked pork chops but I really dislike dried out meat. Pork is a meat that you have to be very careful not to overcook. So not only did I make a seasoning that tastes great on pork, but I also found the best way to cook any pork chop. I do always use a meat thermometer when I cook pork and chicken. Taking it out of the oven at the right temp is key to making a great juicy pork chop.

Yield: 6

Ingredients:

6 bone-in pork chops

2 tbsp paprika

1 tbsp brown sugar, packed

1 tbsp kosher salt

1 tbsp garlic powder

1/2 tbsp ground black pepper

1/2 tbsp chili powder

1/2 tbsp onion powder

3/4 tsp ground cumin

3/4 tsp dry mustard powder

*If you want to add a little heat, try adding some ground chipotle chili pepper

Instructions:

1.  Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare a shallow baking dish or cookie sheet with foil and cooking spray.

2.  Mix together all the seasonings and stir til evenly mixed.

3.  Rub the seasoning all over both sides of each chop and the sides of them as well.

4.  Place the pork chops on the prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes, flipping the chops over after 15 minutes. Check the temperatures of the thickest part on a few of the chops. Remove from the oven when the pork reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit.

5.  Remove from oven and serve hot!

Notes:

If heating leftover pork chops, do not microwave. Warm in a skillet with a little olive oil heated on medium for a few minutes on each side.
