Weight Loss Journey

It has been a while since I posted anything but I thought I should update my Blog. On New Years Eve, ironically, my sister asked me to join Weight Watchers with her. They had a good sale for the New Year Promotion, so we both joined. She was able to get her friend to join as well while we celebrated NYE night by playing games. I later was able to get my sister-in-law to join also. 

I have lost weight, but want to lose so much more. I have changed foods I used to almost be completely chicken, shrimp, fish filets, and more veggies than I ever have eaten. I will try to post some of the healthier recipes I have been making this past year. Hope you all have a great holiday season!

Cooking Healthy

I have been trying to cook healthier meals and lose weight when nothing else has worked for me. I added a new section called Healthy Living today. My goal is to try new recipes and healthier ingredients that may inspire others to change and enjoy healthy eating as well. My inspiration actually came from my brother in law and his success from eating better. 

We all say we should eat better, but how often do we say it, and then just kind of forget all about it. It is easier to not change, and unless we put effort into a change of eating and lifestyles, change will not come.

A New Addition...

Today I am starting a new section called On the Menu....

This will contain entrees that I am making which blend together well. Tonight's dinner is the first to be posted. I am making my caesar chicken using chicken breast tenders, air fryer broccoli with garlic and parmesan, roasted chicken rice, and a cheesy garlic bread. I am cooking for my sister and husband and I am sure it will be a huge hit with them!

Awesome New Recipes!

 I have been busy adding new recipes for everyone to enjoy! I am trying to add a variety of dishes so there is something for everyone. My latest was the Vegetable Beef Soup I made last night for dinner. I received a raving review from my brother in law who asked for me to make this more often. He absolutely loved the flavor! This also is a wonderful soup to have for leftover lunch, with half a dinner serving being only around 225 calories approximately.

Introduction to the Chef....

As someone who always enjoyed cooking and baking, as well as concocting my own recipes, I found during the covid lockdown that cooking was also an escape. It is something I always enjoyed doing but cooking and working made less time for trial and error recipe making. My sister asked me a few years ago if, during her busy season as an accountant, I would want to cook a couple meals a week since she had no time for cooking every night. The busy season cooking turned into an every week thing this last year. What began as a desire to help my sister turned into a love of cooking and a way for me to relax and stress less about life. It also made me realize just how much I needed a hobby, a reason to be creative, and an outlet for the stressful days.  I decided after being on Pinterest a few years making recipes that making a blog of my own would be an easier way for me to not only have a place where I have them stored, but also an easier way for me to share my recipes.  Please enjoy and leave feedback!
