Cinnamon Vanilla French Toast

 Priscilla's Cinnamon Vanilla French Toast

An easy delicious spin on french toast that is sure to win you some points with the kids!


Yield: 12


Ingredients:

12 slices bread of your choice, toasted lightly if softer

1 1/4 cup milk

4 eggs

5 tbsp sugar

2-3 tsp vanilla

4 tsp cinnamon powder

6 tbsp unsalted butter

*Optional:

a dash of nutmeg, to taste


Instructions:

1.  In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.

2.  In a large skillet, heat a tbsp of butter until melted. Dip a slice of bread into the egg mixture and transfer to the buttered skillet. Whisk the mixture between each batch to keep the mixture uniform. Cook at least 2 pieces at a time. If using a griddle, be sure to add extra butter for the space, equivalent to 1/2 tbsp per slice.

3.  Cook on medium to medium low heat. Flip after about 4 minutes and cook for another few until the toast is cooked through and done. Repeat with the next batches accordingly.

4.  Transfer the cinnamon toasts to a plate and serve with desired toppings.
