Ham & Havarti Sliders

Priscilla's Ham & Havarti Sliders

Sliders are an easy meal that allows for all kinds of combinations and portion sizes.

Cook time: 20-25 minutes

Yield: 16

Ingredients:

Sliders:

16 Hawaiian rolls

18 oz black forest ham slices

15 slices Havarti cheese

2 tbsp light mayo

Butter Glaze:

4 tbsp salted butter, melted

1 1/4 tsp Dijon mustard

1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1/4 tsp onion powder

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions:

1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Slice the entire block of rolls in half without separating the rolls. Remove the top and set aside.

2.  Place the bottom half of rolls (including 4 additional if doing 16) into a prepared 9x13 baking dish.

3.  Layer each row of the 3 sliders with 3 slices of ham overlapping. Continue for all the rows. Next, layer each row with 2 slices of Havarti overlapping slightly. Add more if you desire. My slices were larger than average. Continue with all the rows. Repeat with the ham and then Havarti across each row for 2 layers. Add the tops of the sliders back on to complete the slider.

4.  In a small loosely covered bowl, microwave the butter for 15-30 second intervals until melted. Stir in the Dijon, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Brush on the butter glaze, covering the tops completely.

5.  Lay a piece of foil over the top without sealing and bake at 350 for 15 minutes until cheese is melted. Remove the foil and bake an additional 5-10 minutes, until the tops begin to turn golden brown.

6.  Remove from oven and let cool a few minutes. Cut the sliders apart and serve!

Note:

I needed 16 sliders, but you could easily adjust this to however many you need. I had a little extra butter glaze I just poured around after brushing on. The meats and cheeses could easily be swapped out for your preference as well.
