Priscilla's Meatloaf
My mother's meatloaf was a delicious Sunday dinner we could look forward to after church. As an adult, I started playing with her recipe she used, which was the Lipton onion recipe. Now it is a much loved entree I serve at home and for my extended family!
Yield: 10-12 servings
Cook time: 1 hour
Ingredients:
2 envelopes Lipton Beefy Onion soup mix
3 lbs ground beef
30 Ritz crackers, crushed
3 large eggs
1 - 1 1/2 cups ketchup, plus additional for the top
3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Mix together, making sure the meat and ingredients are the same throughout. I mix with my hands gloved.
3. Shape into a loaf in a prepared 13 x 9 inch casserole dish or roasting pan.
4. Bake uncovered until done, about 1 hour. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Slice into pieces to serve. Enjoy hot and fresh!
